INRA is recruiting 41 experienced researchers in 2019

At INRA, researchers express their creativity within high-level research teams, in order to advance our state of knowledge to lead to concrete and innovative applications, that serve the interests of society. From 20 June to 20 August 2019, INRA is recruiting 41 experienced researchers who are proficient at designing and conducting research projects. Applications are now closed.

You want to support INRA in its commitment to research in the fields of food and nutrition, agriculture and the environment, with open science using digital tools. Join us! INRA is recruiting 41 research directors (DR2) on the basis of a project.

These positions are open:

  • either to candidates belonging to the French tenured civil service category of 'Chargé de recherche' (Research Scientist) for a minimum of 3 years at the time of application,
  • or to candidates with 8 years' experience in research and who have a PhD (or equivalent),
  • or to candidates who can justify scientific work judged to be equivalent to these conditions.

To apply, candidates must present a project. Candidates' projects should be in one of the following fields of research:

  • agronomy, plant biology and breeding, digital science, economic and social sciences: 14 positions
  • ecology, plant and animal health, animal genetics: 13 positions
  • food and nutrition, animal physiology and livestock systems, microbiology and process engineering: 14 positions


    Opening date for applications: 20 June 2019
    Submission deadline for application packages: 20 August 2019
    Shortlisting: October 2019
    Final selection: November 2019
    Starting date for appointments: from January 2020
