Being an INRA researcher means supporting the Institute in its commitment to open science with digital tools.  INRA uses open competitions to recruit experienced researchers who are proficient at designing and conducting research projects. Applications were open from 3 July to 30 August (online applications) or 1st September (paper applications) 2017. You can no longer apply.

9 Experienced Research Scientists (CR1) on the basis of a project

These positions are open:

  • to candidates with 4 years' experience in research and who have a PhD (or equivalent),
  • to candidates who can justify scientific work judged to be equivalent to these conditions.

The candidates' projects should be in the fields of food and nutrition, agriculture or the environment and their interactions.

40 Research Directors (DR2) on the basis of a project

These positions are open:

  • either to candidates belonging to the French tenured civil service category of 'Chargé de recherche' (Research Scientist) and who have been an Experienced Research Scientist (CR1) for a minimum of 3 years at the time of application
  • or to candidates with 8 years' experience in research and who have a PhD (or equivalent),
  • or to candidates who can justify scientific work judged to be equivalent to these conditions.

Candidates' projects should be in one of the following fields of research: agronomy and environment, economic and social sciences, digital sciences, human nutrition, food safety and process engineering, ecology, plant and animal health, genetics and animal and plant physiology.

A senior research director (DR1) in the field of geosciences

DR1 competitions are held on an as-needed basis upon request of a scientific directorate to cover a specific need. Applicants submit their application file for the job profile corresponding to the available vacancy at INRA. This position is open to:

  • candidates with a PhD (or equivalent) with at least 12 years of research experience,
  • candidates who can show proof of equivalent work experience.

Subject: New approaches for modelling soil-plant interactions for forest ecosystems.
