Growing things together

Helping research happen is second nature for Christine. She laughs often, has a generous spirit, and is widely appreciated for her skills and overall qualities. This year’s INRA Research Support Award goes to her for the whole of her career at the Institute. Christine is currently Director of research support services at INRA Nouvelle-Aquitaine-Bordeaux and General Secretary of the INRA-Cirad-Ifremer Ethics Committee.

With her cheery disposition and boundless energy, Christine Charlot does not go unnoticed. Her career moved her steadily along a path dotted with many places, many posts, and with a wide variety of responsibilities. Her job has no secrets for her, and she knows all the ins and outs of INRA. People appreciate her ability to listen and see their point of view. Today, Christine is happy that her atypical career at the service of research in France has been recognised. The INRA Award “pays homage to my unusual career and firm commitment. I wasn’t expecting it, but in the end, it feels really good!”  she says.
