With the digital revolution changing the way we work, data is becoming increasingly important, including for Pascal Neveu. Together with his teams, Neveu has developed a new generation of tools for collecting, managing and mining massive and diverse data sets in the fields of agriculture and the environment.

From planet phenotyping to oenology and bioprocesses, the OpenSILEX software suite provides the necessary tools to describe and report on an experiment, its outcomes and its data. And when OpenSILEX replaces laboratory notebooks, analysing research data almost seems to happen naturally, even if Neveu recognises that “there’s still a lot more work to do”.
